CD Release Party

It was cool to see you all recently at my CD release party. Thanks for all the kind words and support. I'm glad we had a chance to get together. I've posted some photos of that day. You guys are the best. What a blast!

Other things I've been doing

Over the past year and a half I've been in my
studio writing and recording a new CD. I've also been working on a huge re-mixing/mastering project of about 150 songs that I wrote and recorded from 1991-2008. See albums page.

The newest release, "Facing Harder Reasons Than Before" has been one of my more challenging music solo productions to date. I went through a process of trying new techniques as I arranged each song with several kinds of instruments. Everything you hear is me performing, the guitars, bass, drums, piano, etc.. In the case of learning to play the
Erhu, I always wanted to add strings to the music. I played it before on "Sold the Home for the Tackle Box", but this time the performance is more intricate and emotional, not as raw. The lyrics are all very real. I write as honestly as I can.

I'm still releasing everything on my own recording label (ebdb records) via the performance rights organization
ASCAP.

Enjoy the new album!

- Jim
